Group Volunteering
Give your group a chance to get outside, get active, and give back- take part in a group volunteer workday. Participants get to discover the natural areas all around them, while promoting civic responsibility, community pride, and camaraderie within their organization.

We offer the following activities:
☼ Litter Obliterators
Group size- up to 150
Time of Year- Early Spring thru Late Fall
Duration- 2 to 4 hours
Get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Help clean up the Preserves and discover the nature all around you.
* Choose a Preserve near you or let us pick one
* We provide gloves, trash bags, and a permit
☼ Garlic Mustard Busters
Group size- up to 50
Time of Year- April thru June
Duration- 2 to 4 hours
Garlic mustard is a non-native and invasive weed that overwhelms native plants and threatens biodiversity. Get down and dirty and help pull out this invader.
* We locate a stewardship site near you and connect you with the Site Steward
* We provide gloves, bags, and a short orientation
☼ Habitat Restoration
Group size- up to 25
Time of Year- September thru May
Duration- 2 to 4 hours
Participate in natural areas restoration. The activities may include cutting brush, pulling weeds, or collecting seeds, depending on the season and weather.

* We provide gloves, tools, and training
☼ Nature Center Project
Group size- up to 25
Time of Year- year round
Duration- 2 to 4 hours
Volunteer at one of the District’s six nature centers; the project is dependent on location and time of year.
* We connect you with your nearest nature center
* We provide all necessary supplies and training
