CW Midwest Ecological Prescription Burn Crew Member Training Workshops

Session B) Saturday and Sunday, February 24 & 25, 2007; 8:30am-4pm both days @ Brookfield Zoo

The Chicago Wilderness Natural Resources Management Team is pleased to offer two spring sessions of the CW MIdwest Ecological Prescription Burn Crew Member Training. Based on the National Wildfire Coordinating Group's (NWCG) S-130 and S-190 courses, this training covers the basics of such topics as fire behavior, controlled burn techniques, and smoke management. The objective is to provide participants with the background necessary to safely participate on the crew of a controlled burn. These workshops will be offered free of charge. Both two-day workshops are identical and so you will only need to attend one. A registration form is attached below. Please fill out the form and return it to me (preferably via email) as soon as you can. Space will be limited and registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
