Chicago
Area Mountain Bikers
The primary mission of the Chicago Area Mountain Bikers (CAMBr)
is to promote responsible trail use, to prevent trail closings;
to maintain and build new unpaved multi-use and singletrack trails
for bicycling in the Chicago area. CAMBr also seeks to promote
trail bicycling opportunities through stewardship, environmental
and social responsibility, education, and a spirit of cooperation
among all trail users, the conservation community and governing
bodies.
We have trail maintenance days, bike education sessions for beginners,
bike education sessions for experienced riders, groups rides,
ladies rides, slow and easy rides, occasional trips to other areas
in Illinois and Wisconsin to ride their trails, lead/sweep other
organization events requiring lead riders and end of group sweeps
for warning and safety.
